Yung Gravy @ House of Blues (11/22/2025)
The familiarity I had with Yung Gravy before his show at House of Blues in Cleveland mostly came from TikTok. Excellent at marketing, Yung Gravy has made a name for himself by sampling famous songs and riffs. He has used everything from Panic at the Disco to the theme song from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Most of his samples come from more classic songs, and he has found a way to blend his modernized voice with beats that have been around for decades.
On his Voluptuous Voyage tour, Gravy brought the party with him. The show was sold out, and as I made my way through the crowd Saturday, I weaved through people who were already having a great time. When Gravy took the stage, his natural charisma followed. He never takes himself too seriously, and the show ended up being mostly a concert but also partly a comedy act. At one point he even threw pancakes into the crowd that were made fresh on stage. Fun and easygoing, the crowd fed off Gravy's energy and gave it right back to him. After my three songs in the photo pit, I retired to the balcony to watch the rest of the show, and so many people around me danced for the entire night.
I had a great time and honestly didn’t want to leave and go back into the cold Cleveland air. After an hour and a half I had to, but that didn’t stop me from listening to Yung Gravy on the drive home.
