Death Cab for Cutie @ Jacobs Pavilion (7/15/2026)
Not even a heatwave could stop Death Cab for Cutie as they took the stage before a massive crowd at Jacobs Pavilion on Wednesday evening. The temperatures may have been hot, but the music was even hotter.
Fresh off the release of their latest album, I Built You a Tower, which came out just over a month ago, Death Cab for Cutie is currently touring across the United States before heading overseas this fall. Songs from the new album blended seamlessly into the set; evolving yet staying true to their sound.
Opening with "Riptides" before moving into "Roman Candles" and "The New Year," the band played against lit banners, with stage lighting battling the setting sun.
Massive hit "The Sound of Settling" moved Jacobs Pavilion into a chorus of voices. "Soul Meets Body" was another highlight, with a lot of the audience singing every word.
Founded in 1997, Death Cab for Cutie has been around for nearly three decades, and rather than relying solely on nostalgia, Death Cab for Cutie consistently shows why they continues to attract large crowds year after year.
While the oppressive heat could have easily dampened the atmosphere, neither the band nor the audience seemed willing to let it. Catch Death cab on tour throughout the US this Summer!
