Marc Rebillet @ Agora (10/2/2025)

ANOTHER IDEA

Marc Rebillet, aka the Loop Daddy, came to the Agora on October 2nd 2025, and if the title of this tour rings true, he is never coming back again.

After opener CAPYAC ripped an unserious, and selflessly funky set; they opened the stage for Marc, who comes zooming in Risky Business style. He addresses the crowd with an aggressive and demanding call for silly goose energy and good vibes. He is in his underwear. He slowly approaches the loop station with wild eyes and begins a percussion loop that marks the opening of his stream of consciousness for the evening.

As he builds each song, the crowd is fully invested, wooing and cheering with each new layer and freestyled vocal riff. In between each song, Marc is calling out to the crowd; calling out to dance, calling out for societal change, calling out for which kick drum we would prefer. Just as unpredictably as he arrived, he runs off the stage and asks a crowd member what he came here to do… He’s here to party. Marc brought him on stage, and with many laughs and 808s, that’s exactly what they did.

God bless you Jonathon, I truly hope you got your Polish Ice

All night Marc enthusiatically interacts with the crowd, giving people the mic, bringing them on stage, hearing random call outs and adding them to the ongoing production. It’s layer upon layer, loop upon loop, rant upon rant, and it makes me think of the first video of his that I ever saw.

In the video, in the middle of a catchy jam, he abruptly turns everything down and begins talking very matter-of-factly:

When you can’t come up with another idea… Fuck it dude, just make something. Just get up, get in front of your shit, and pump it out baby! No one cares about your creative integrity! All that matters is you’re here right now, and you’re makin shit.

After creating countless loops, and going on songifed rants for countless hours over the last decade, he continues to get in front of his shit, pump it out, and prove there’s always another idea.

Marc may never loop back to Cleveland Ohio, but I sure hope he keeps on looping.
